Any of you old codgers still out there?!

I'd like to say I finally had an epiphany. Ah what the heck. Why not...

I finally had an epiphany.

There that wasn't so bad.


It would appear that I am a procrastinator with too many ideas to cleverly put into a respectable medium I feel confident will present them in the best possible light.

My on-again-off-again romance with creativity seldom yields anything worth mentioning except ideas. That is complete and utter foolishness on my part. I have my hand in design, photography, film, illustration and writing. Always have and I guess its fair to say I always will.

So now that I have come to acknowledge the great bitter truth about myself what do I do? I have nearly 30 major project ideas that span from short films to illustrations that I have never explored or they have sat idle on my hard drive for years. On at least 26 of those projects I have spent 7 years or more adding small tidbits to them. I've created worlds with rich histories and fantastic settings. I've explored the boundaries of imagination with only a few meager dabblings in celestial illustration to show for it.

I'm sitting on so many rich ideas I can't see straight. Yeah I know... who isn't right? Especially in an art community no less. But frankly... I have stories to tell. I have things to say. I have tales to weave. And I don't even know where to start...

Well. Figured I'd drop a note. My small corner of DA has long since become dormant and dust covered. None the less, saying hello to those who pass by or still have me on watch.

Not doing much outside of my design work at the moment. I am as always harboring a few celestial illustration ideas I'd like to get to some where down the road. But right now its work, work, family, friends, Warcraft, work, family, Warcraft.

I thought I'd drop a word here since I do pass through from time to time. I've been so busy professionally I've used up my free time to spend with family and friends.

When I pass through I take note of who's doing what and its always good to see some new things from old friends. It's also nice to see people still pass by here and take a gander at my work. Makes a tired designer smile at the end of a long day.

In other news, I have been attending to my MMO "addiction" these last few months as well, mostly playing with family and friends.

I seem to be swapping between FFXI and WoW mainly. Tinkering here and there with Adventure Quest and Maple Story from time to time. I used to be pretty hardcore FFXI player a year or two ago but now I seem to be roaming. WoW is too easy and FFXI is a ridiculous timesink so its a double edged sword I'd say. I've mostly been playing WoW with some peers from FFXI since Burning Crusade came out but slowly feeling the tug to do some much needed farming for gear in FFXI which is truly my first love in the MMO world.

I've been traveling again. I was out in L.A. and San Diego for a week a bit ago and still wish someone would take pity on me and buy my wife and I a loft in Santa Monica. ><

Else other... Hello to all of you. I'm rambling for no good reason. I hope all is well with all of you and I wish you all continued success. As always is my words... I'll be around.

It appears my work was featured last night in the Nashville show of the BT music tour Deviant Art is hosting and will also be featured tonight in Memphis. Quite interesting. I was out of town last night and was unable to attend. Hope all went well.

In other news, my artwork has slowed down a bit in celestial illustration and I've begun some heavy tinkering in pure digital painting. Still alot of speed working and practice but advancement nonetheless. I feel like absolute halo back when he was new and trying to get his bearings... now I'm just a painted halo I guess. If you're smart you know what that means and where to go to see more.
